Does anyone know if there are vinyl pressings of hung at heart of the actual version of this song ???
Yeah the 2020 repressing of hung at heart used the Dan Auerbach versions of the album
@@emperorplumeria5487 I believe this is the version that is on my vinyl, which I bought this year. But, I also have the Dan Aurbach sessions that I dowloaded online. That version sounds much closer to my vinyl version than the one on spotify, but my vinyl version still sounds quite different than Dan's version. I know the spotify version is an entirely different recording, but, my vinyl version is different enough from Dan's that I begin to wonder if it an entirely different recording itself.

@nate yeah I get that. I’ve listened to the growlers for years. I hopped in around when Hung at Heart came out, and I’ve been hooked since. They’re music gets a bad rep from ex fans nowadays but I like that they are experimenting with what they like at the time. Glad to be a part of this little rag-tag group!

There probably isn't a deeper explanation that you seek, you have to find it or make it. The whole song is almost written like a letter, or that brooks is speaking directly to an audience or someone sounds like to me. But the lyrics reflect what you're saying about love, life and death but you everyone's meaning could vary.
Personally I was confused when I first heard the song, then watched them perform this song with face paint and anti christ costume. He was the one showing the way out! Try listening to this song from that perspective you’ll get the song 🤘🏼
